All kids deserve a Fair-Go in life no matter what their ability or circumstance.
Variety – the Children’s Charity helps kids who face sickness, disability or disadvantage. With your help, Variety provides support to families and organisations in the following ways.
Variety – the Children’s Charity assists both individuals and organisations – including schools, not for profit organisations and community groups - through our grants program. We grant equipment, supplies, educational aids and much more. This may be an iPad and a communication application for a child, an assistance dog or an all- abilities playground for a school or local park. Click here to apply for a grant.
We give scholarships to encourage the talents of kids in need. We provide Variety Heart Scholarships to children with an existing talent living with disabilities, chronic illness or financial hardship to achieve their full potential and to follow their dreams. Whether it’s a dream to compete at a higher level in sport or wow a crowd on a stage. Click here to apply for a Scholarship.
We run programs to educate and empower kids in need such as the Variety Creative Arts Program. These are small-group workshops within a safe and welcoming environment, facilitated by a qualified creative arts therapist. These workshops offer children a creative means for self-expression that supports their emotional well-being and development. Click here to find out more about the Variety Creative Arts Program.
Variety Tasmania, in partnership with Vicinity Centers' Eastlands and Northgate, and a team of volunteers (including support teachers, speech therapists and special education teachers), hold the Variety Quiet Santa Program in December, bringing the joy of a Santa photo to children who would otherwise miss out.
