Join us this October on an exciting road trip adventure as we explore Tasmania’s beautiful towns and lesser travelled back roads with a group of whacky friends.
Theme yourselves or your cars and join the Beach Boys, Blinky Bill, Where's Wally, Puff the Magic Dragon and many more as we explore Tassie – all in the name of giving Tassie kids a fair go!
Route
In 2024 we'll be island hoping, heading deep south and then finishing on top, in the north-west, but as awlays, the route will remain Tassie’s best kept secret until the day!
You'll be travelling on highways and side roads, and be prepared for very off-road 'roads'! We'll also be popping into a few schools along the way to grant them much needed items and equipment.
And the best bit? A huge amount of fun while helping Tassie kids in need!
What do I need to take part?
A spirit of adventure and a good sense of fun! We have lots of resources to help you get off the beaten track and we’re here to support you along the way.
The minimum requirements to enter are:
- The team entry fee for the TasBash is $330 per crew
- Each crew then gets FUNdraising for kids in need. To take part crews much reach a minimum fundraising total of $2,700
- Provision fees are the only other hard cost of approximately $600 per person and this covers your Morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and entertainment for 6 days and a TasBash shirt and team plaque
- Optional excursions will be announced closer to TasBash.
Your TasBash Car
Our boutique TasBash is slightly different from those on the Mainland, as there is no age restriction on your vehicle. All you need to do is to ensure your vehicle is themed (even if it's just the team inside that's dressed up) and has a HF radio.
HELPING KIDS
Variety – the Children’s Charity is dedicated to empowering children who are sick, disadvantaged or have additional needs to live, laugh and learn. We achieve this through the provision of equipment, facilities and life experiences and by operating a straightforward and transparent grants program which draws on the funds raised through our events, sponsorships and donations.
All donations raised from the Variety TasBash go directly towards Tassie children who are sick, disadvantaged or have additional needs.

COST TO ENTER
The TasBash entry fee is $330 PLUS a minimum fundraising target to be met to help as many kids as we can!
A meal and provisions levy is also due prior to the event and includes lunch and dinner as well as various activities and entertainment, a TasBash shirt and team plaque.
ON ROAD SUPPORT
We all know our beautiful beasts can be a bit testy at times…that’s why the Variety TasBash provides full-on road support with our mobile workshop crews for the whole journey for peace of mind on those epic Tassie roads!
